Following a delicious breakfast in the morning, set out to unravel the intricate maze of the ancient medina. Day 3

Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

The following morning, our journey unfolds as we bid farewell to Fes and set our sights on the captivating Merzouga Desert. En route, be prepared to be mesmerized by the majestic Middle Atlas Mountains, with scenic drives past charming Berber villages dotting the roadside. We’ll recommend picturesque stops along the way, offering ample opportunities to capture breathtaking photographs.

Our next pause brings us to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, one of Morocco’s largest forests and home to the enchanting Barbary monkeys. Take a moment to bask in the serene ambiance of this natural haven before we resume our journey towards Midelt. Upon reaching Midelt, we’ll indulge in a relaxing lunch break amidst the picturesque landscapes.

Continuing onwards, the rugged beauty of the High Atlas Mountains unfolds before us, hinting at the desert landscapes that lie ahead as we approach Errachidia city. Our path then leads us to the breathtaking Ziz Valley, where panoramic vistas await, providing the perfect backdrop for memorable snapshots.

As we traverse through the date palm groves of Tafilalet, renowned for its date cultivation, we’ll soon arrive at our destination: Merzouga. Here, you’ll be transferred to your riad, where you can unwind and immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance, spending the night amidst the desert’s enchanting allure.

Day 4

Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) – Camel Trek and overnight in Berber Tent

After breakfast, this day is all about exploring the areas near the desert. First, we will visit the Gnawa people, originated from Sudan, in Khamlia villages, to experience and learn their spiritual music and lifestyle. Just a few miles away from the village, you will find Merzouga Lake, which is known for its bird populations.

Then, we will visit Rissani’s local Market, lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and the meeting point of caravans. Plus, the city is the origin of the Alaouite Dynasty and the closest point to the significant Erg Chebbi dunes.

Finally, we will come back to Merzouga Village to rest. Then, you will find the camels waiting for you to trek to the desert camp, for a dramatic sunset from the sandy dunes, and a delicious dinner coupled with the rhythm of the drums. Overnight will be in the desert under the glistening sky.

Day 5

Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Palm Groves of Tinghir – Dades Gorges

This day begins with an early morning wake-up call, offering a mesmerizing display of the sunrise over the dunes, accompanied by the gentle morning breeze and the vast expanse of sand dunes.

After soaking in the serene beauty, we’ll bid farewell to the bivouac and embark on our trek back to Merzouga Desert. Along the journey, you’ll marvel at the ever-changing hues of the Erg Chebbi dunes, painting a stunning canvas against the sky.

Upon arriving at your accommodation in Merzouga, indulge in a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower to invigorate yourself. Following this, we’ll set off for Rissani, Tinghir, renowned for its picturesque oases and lush palm trees.

Our next destination is the Todra Gorges, the narrowest in Morocco, boasting sheer rock walls that stand as the tallest in the country. Here, amidst the breathtaking scenery, we’ll enjoy lunch in the heart of this remarkable gorge.

Continuing our journey, we’ll traverse through the captivating Dades Valley, characterized by its enchanting mauve mountains and numerous sand castles. Keep an eye out for the distinctive rock formations known as “monkey toes”.

You’ll spend the night in a remarkable hotel overlooking the valley, where you can unwind and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring surroundings.

Day 6

Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate

In the morning, after breakfast, we will depart from the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’gouna. En route, you’ll be captivated by the scenic road of a thousand kasbahs, offering ample opportunities for stunning photography.

Our next stop brings us to Kalaat M’gouna, also known as the Rose Valley, renowned for its delightful aroma and the opportunity to purchase bottles of the renowned healthy rose water. If your visit coincides with May, you’ll have the chance to experience the vibrant annual festival held in the city.

Continuing our journey, we’ll make our way to Ouarzazate, passing by the enchanting Amridil Kasbah, a beautifully preserved fortress once inhabited by the Glaoui people.

Finally, we’ll arrive at Ouarzazate, often referred to as the Moroccan Hollywood, where you’ll be dropped off at your riad to unwind and spend the night.

Day 7

Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

As the final day of your tour dawns, we’ll commence after breakfast with a journey to the medieval fortified castle of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its rich history and as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood blockbusters including “The Jewel of the Nile,” “Gladiator,” and “The Mummy.”

Following our exploration of the kasbah, we’ll embark on our drive to Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi n Tichka pass, standing at an impressive height of 2,260 meters. Be sure to capture some stunning photographs of the Berber villages and breathtaking landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, your driver will ensure your seamless transfer to your accommodation, marking the conclusion of an unforgettable journey through the captivating landscapes and cultural treasures of Morocco.

Day trip to Essaouira

Combining European architecture with Moorish influences, this day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira promises to transport you to one of the most picturesque coastal cities in Morocco. Your adventure begins after breakfast with a scenic 2.5-hour journey to Essaouira.

Full Day in Marrakech with City Tour

Today is yours to explore the captivating sights of Marrakech at your leisure. After breakfast, embark on a journey of cultural and historical discovery, beginning with a visit to the Ben Youssef Coranic School, a renowned center of Islamic learning.

Continue your exploration with a visit to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, followed by a tour of the Bahia Palace, aptly named “brilliant” for its exquisite architecture and ornate decorations.

Next, delve into the rich history of the city with a visit to the Saadian Tombs, an opulent mausoleum showcasing the grandeur of Sultan Ahmed al-Mansour ed-Dahbi, constructed with pure gold.
