Day 1

Tangier Port – Chefchaouen

We will pick you up from the port and then begin our journey across the spectacular Rif Mountains toward Tetouan, along incredibly dramatic landscapes. We will then arrive in Chefchaouen, beautifully situated beneath the raw peaks of the Rif. Chefchaouen is one of the prettiest towns in Morocco, an artsy, blue-washed mountain village that feels like its own world. The old medina is a delight of Moroccan and Andalusian influence, with red-tiled roofs, bright-blue buildings, and narrow lanes converging on the bustling Plaza Uta el-Hammam and its restored kasbah. You will spend a night in comfortable accommodation with a panoramic view that allows you to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature.

Day 2

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast at the riad, our authentic journey will commence towards Volubilis, crossing via Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and delve into the archaeological site of Moroccan history. Following the visit to the ruins, we will proceed to Meknes city, a 17th-century heritage site, where we will pause for lunch and explore the historical grandeur of the medina’s massive walls, Bab el Mansour, and visit Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After touring Meknes, we will drive directly to the city of Fes, where you will spend the night.

Fez Guided City Tour

After breakfast at your riad, you will begin exploring the oldest city in Morocco, strolling through its alleys and narrow streets. Our tour starts with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, and the first Mellah ever constructed in Morocco, dating back to the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites of cultural and historical significance, including the renowned Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. Following lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and then enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.

Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast at your hotel, you will journey to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. En route, you will pass through the captivating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, where you’ll be treated to views of the High Atlas plateau. As you approach the city of Errachidia, you’ll notice the landscape gradually shifting, offering glimpses of the desert. Here, you will stop for lunch and experience Berber hospitality. Continuing along the lush Ziz Valley, you will make stops for panoramic views on the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Upon arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon, you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before embarking on a camel ride to spend the night at the desert camp, complete with Berber music and sandboarding.

Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley

We will wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes before returning by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Afterward, we’ll drive through the Saghro mountains and take a brief stroll through Todra Gorge before reaching Dades Valley for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 6

Dades Valley – Roses valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast at the hotel, you will journey through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is known as the “way of the thousand kasbahs,” offering numerous opportunities to capture some of your best photographic shots of the trip amidst the valley’s rose gardens and the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, passing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This kasbah, the largest in Morocco, was built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains in the early 20th century. It served as one of his stops during his extensive travels from the Sahara to Marrakech and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following this, we will traverse the High Atlas Mountains, offering panoramic views and passing through charming Berber villages until we reach Marrakech.
