Day 1

Arrival to Fes

Depending on your time of arrival to Fes, you will find your driver waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your riad or hotel. If you arrive early in the day, you will have free time to visit some parts of Fes.

Day 2

Full day exploring Fes

This full day is dedicated to explore the oldest city in Morocco. Fes was the capital of Morocco for 350 years, and it is the home for the oldest school in the World, Al Quarraouine university. In the morning after Breakfast, you will start discovering the ancient medina maze. Start meandering through the narrow alleyways between throngs, and discover the hidden treasures of the of old town. Roam your way to Moulay idriss Mausoleum, where just a glimpse from the outside is worthy trying. Furthermore, learn some of the people’s town rituals, such as, buying candles and putting them around the mausoleum to show respect. Continue your way to the oldest schools in the world, including Al Quarraouine university, and Bouannania shcool, where you will see woodwork walls, traditional courtyards…This guided tour will take you to many breathtaking spots, including tannery of Chaouara, this place specializes in tanning the leather. Plus, visit the Museum of Nejjarine and Batha Museum. In this day guide tour, you will back in time, discovering the medieval life. For example, in Fes, there is no sign of modern life, people still using the old methods in carrying their goods, upon donkeys. After that, we will take lunch in one of the local-elegant restaurants. In the afternoon, we will visit the Royal Palace and the Jewhish Quarter outside the Medina. Finishing our day tour by a panoramic view of the whole Medina from the top of the hill. Later, we will drive back to your accommodation to spend the night.

Day 3

Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Next morning, we will leave Fes towards Merzouga Desert. During this trip, you will come across the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by the berber villages on the side of the road. We will suggest some stops, if we have time, to photograph some superb pictures. Next, we will stop at the cedar forest Near Azrou, a berber villages. In the first place, the forest is the largest one in Morocco, and the residence of the Barbary monkeys. After a stop on the forest to enjoy the coolness and quietness of the place, we will continue to Midelt. Upon arrival to Midelt, we will have break to lunch and relax. Then, we will continue through the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, revealing the scenery allusions of the desert, as we approach Errachidia city. Next, we will continue to the splendid Ziz valley, for an opportunity to capture some beautiful pictures of the panoramic views. Passing by the date palm groves in Tafilalet,famous for its date cultivation. Finally, we will arrive to Merzouga, where you will be transferred to your riad to to dangle and spend the night.

Day 4

Merzouga area – Camel trek and overnight in berber tent

After breakfast, this day is all about exploring the areas near the desert. First, we will visit the Gnawa people, originated from Sudan, in khamlia villages, to experience and learn their spiritual music and lifestyle. Just few miles away from the village, you will find Merzouga lake, which is known for its bird populations. Then, we will visit the Rissani’s local Market, lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and the meeting point of caravans. Plus,the city is the origin of Alaouite Dynasty, and the closest point to the significant Erg Chebbi dunes. Finally, we will come back to Merzouga Village to rest. Then, you will find the camels waiting for you to trek to the camp desert, for a dramatic sunset from the sandy dunes, and a delicious dinner coupled with the rhythm of the drums. Overnight will be in the in the desert under the glistening sky.

Day 5

Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Palm Groves of Tinghir – Dades Gorges

This day starts by an early morning wake up, for a beautiful scenery of the sunrise, enjoying the morning breeze and the sand dunes seas. Then, we will leave the bivouac, and trek back to merzouga Desert. On the way back, you will appreciate the beautiful colors of the Erg Chebbi dunes that change as the day progresses. Arriving to your accommodation in Merzouga, for a delicious breakfast and a relaxing shower. Then, we will drive to Rissani, Tinghir well known for attractive oases, and lush palm trees. Arriving to Todra gorges, the narrowest ones in Morocco, with sheer rock walls, which are the highest in Morocco. We will have lunch in the heart of this amazing gorges. After lunch, we will continue to the Dades Valley, a fascinating valley with mauve mountains, numerous sand castles. Also, the valley is well known for the rock formations “monkey toes”. You will spend the night in an awe-inspiring hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 6

Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate

In the morning, after breakfast, we will leave the Dades Valley to Kalaat M’gouna. On our way, you will fall to estimate the road of thousand kasbahs, which offers a great opportunity for photography shots. Next, we will stop at Kalaat M’gouna, the rose valley for a pleasant aroma, and a purchase of the healthy rose water bottles. If you visit the city in May, you will meet the annual festival on that month. From there, we will continue to Ouarzazate passing by Amridil Kasbah, a beautiful coveted one, which is now the home of Glaoui people. Finally, we will arrive to Ouarzazate the Moroccan Hollywood, where you will be dropped at your riad to spend the night.

Day 7

Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

This is the last day of your tour, after breakfast we will head to the medieval fortified castle “Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah”. Upon arrival to the kasbah, you will visit it and explore it. In the first place, it is the UNESCO world heritage site, and the place for many Hollywood movies that were filmed, like, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator and the Mummy. Finally, we will drive to Marrakech passing by Tizi n Tichka pass ﹙2,260m high﹚ to capture some pictures of the berber vilages and the beautiful landscapes. Then, we will arrive to Marrakech, where your driver will transport you to your accommodation.

Day 8

Day trip to Essaouira

Combined between the european architecture and the moorish one. This day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira, will take you to the most beautiful coastal city in Morocco. Your journey starts after breakfast, this is a 2 hours and half trip to Essaouira. Set one rugged shores, the city took the name of “City of the Wind”, which is an attraction for the surfers from all over the world. First, start by exploring the the ancient medina meandering through the narrow alleys and discovering beautiful handicrafts,street vendors, and souks. Essaouira city knew many civilization, especially, the Portuguese one. However, the city took the name of the “Jewel of the Atlantic”, due to its white and blue washed walls and doors. Your explorative day can not go away without visiting the fortified ramparts overlooking the harbour, and the swirling seagulls around it. Next, you will visit the co-operative of Argan oil made by women, to learn about this unique oil, which is known for its cosmetic and culinary role. After that, we will have lunch in the port or the medina, it’s up to you to choose. Finally, we will drive back to Marrakech, where your driver will drop you at your accommodation.

Day 9

Full free day in Marrakech

This day is free for you to explore the sightseeing of Marrakech. After breakfast, you will discover some cultural and historical interest, including Ben Youssef Coranic School, the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest one in Marrakech, and the Bahia palace, which means “brilliant”. Plus, the Saadian Tombs, the lavish mausoleum of of the Sultan Ahmed al-Mansour ed-Dahbi constructed with pure gold. Finally, end your morning tour, by discovery of the Ancient Medina, the place of different artisanal products, then, walk to Jamaa El Fnaa square for a free time to lunch. Finish your day by discovering this exotic square, where you will enjoy the various activities of the place from charmers to story-tellers, snake and monkeys players… Overnight will be in your riad or hotel.

Day 10

Marrakech – Airport

This is the last day of your grand tour. After breakfast, your driver will help you with the luggage, then, transport you to the airport.

Estuve 17 días en Marruecos con una amiga y con Hassan haciéndonos de guía. Desde Fez – Merzouga – Zagora – Tata – TanTan – Essouira – Marrakech.
Hassan, aparte de un amigo, es una persona de gran corazón, atento y con experiencia con el turismo en Marruecos. Joven y con energía, Hassan te puede llevar a ver muchos rincones de Marruecos que él mismo conoce de primera mano, pasar buenos ratos, interesantes conversaciones acerca de su país, su gente los berbers, música y experiencias de la vida.

Sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera hacer una ruta por Marruecos. Sean parejas, familia o amigos. La diversión y seguridad con él están aseguradas!!!

Viaje increíble!!!!
Coincidimos de casualidad con Hassan en Fez. Estábamos bastante perdidos y sin saber qué hacer después de pasar dos días en la medina de Fez.

Él gracias a su amabilidad y fabulosa atención nos recomendó y nos indicó diferentes actividades que hacer. Así que escogimos ir al desierto de Merzouga y posteriormente ir a Marrakech.
Fue la mejor elección que hicimos, todo salió a la perfección. Un viaje que si pudiera repetir lo haría enfadadísimo. Los paisajes, la gente, todo

Marruecos es increíble!!!!
Ya van dos veces que viajo a este maravilloso país y no deja de encantarme cada vez que lo visito.

Conocí a Hassan en mi primer viaje. Nada más verlo supe al momento que era una persona gentil y de confianza.

Gracias a su amabilidad y su trato disfrutamos mucho los días que estuvimos en Fez.

Un año después volví con mi novia a este país y no dude en contactar con Hassan para preparar el viaje.

Hassan nos recibio en Fez y con su amabilidad nos ayudo con nuestro itinerario.

Incluso nos paso una anécdota el último día: nos dejamos olvidados el móvil en el taxi al aeropuerto… pero Hassan consiguió recuperarlo y hacerlo llegar a España. Pocas personas harían esto así que tenerlo en cuenta.
