Day 1

Fes – Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Your trip starts in the morning, offering you a free pick up from your accommodation in Fes. First, we will pass through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains villages. Stopping first, at Ifrane, Morocco’s little Switzerland. The first thing, you will realize in this village is the french style, the multicolored trees, and the clean streets. Moreover, Ifrane is known for its sky resort. Continuing our journey, our nest stop will be in the cedar forest Near Azrou, a berber villages. In the fiest place, the forest is the largest one in Morocco, and the residence of the Barbary monkeys. After a stop on the forest to enjoy the coolness and quietness of the place, we will move to Midelt where we will have lunch. Next, we will continue through the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, passing by Tiz Ntalghamt pass. We will stop at the magnificent Ziz Valley, for an opportunity to capture some splendor pictures of the panoramic views. While passing by Errachidia, you will observe how the scenery alters to uncover hints of the desert. Finally, you will arrive to Merzouga village in the afternoon, after passing Erfoud ﹙the fossil city﹚, and rissani, suggesting some stops, to picture the surrounding landscape, and the nomadic villages. Upon arrival to Merzouga, you will be transferred to your riad, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Overnight will be in the riad.

Day 2

 Merzouga area – Rissani Market – Erg Chebbi – Camel trek and overnight in berber tent

After breakfast, this day is all about exploring the areas near the desert. First, we will visit the Gnawa people, originated from Sudan, in khamlia villages, to experience and learn their spiritual music and lifestyle. Just few miles away from the village, you will find Merzouga lake, which is known for its bird populations. Then, we will visit the Rissani’s local Market, lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and well known for its leather trading. Plus,the city is the origin of Alaouite Dynasty, and the closest point to the significant Erg Chebbi dunes. Finally, we will come back to Merzouga Village to rest. Then, you will find the camels waiting for you to trek to the camp desert, for a dramatic sunset from the sandy dunes, and a delicious dinner coupled with the rhythm of the drums. Overnight will be in the in the desert under the glistening sky.

Day 3

Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Palm Groves of Tinghir – Dades Gorges

This day starts by an early morning wake up, for a beautiful scenery of the sunrise, enjoying the morning breeze and the sand dunes seas. Then, we will leave the bivouac, and trek back to merzouga Desert. On the way back, you will appreciate the beautiful colors of the Erg Chebbi dunes that change as the day progresses. Arriving to your accommodation in Merzouga, for a delicious breakfast and a relaxing shower. Then, we will drive to Rissani, Tinghir well known for attractive oases, and lush palm trees. Arriving to Todra gorges, the narrowest ones in Morocco, with sheer  rock walls, which are the highest in Morocco. We will have lunch in the heart of this amazing gorges. After lunch, we will continue to the Dades Valley, a fascinating valley with mauve mountains, numerous sand castles. Also, the valley is well known for the rock formations “monkey toes”. You will spend the night in an awe-inspiring hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 4

Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate

In the morning, after breakfast, we will leave the Dades Valley to Kalaat M’gouna. On our way, you will fall to estimate the road of thousand kasbahs, which offers a great opportunity for photography shots. Next, we will stop at Kalaat M’gouna, the rose valley for a pleasant aroma, and a purchase of the healthy rose water bottles. If you visit the city in May, you will meet the annual festival on that month. From there, we will continue to Ouarzazate passing by Amridil Kasbah,  a beautiful coveted one, which is now the home of Glaoui people. Finally, we will arrive to Ouarzazate the Moroccan Hollywood, where you will be dropped at your riad to spend the night.

Day 5

Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

This is the last day of your tour, after breakfast we will head to the fortified castle “Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah”. Upon arrival to the kasbah, you will visit it and explore it. In the first place, it is the UNESCO world heritage site, and the place for many Hollywood movies that were filmed, like, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator and the Mummy. Finally, we will drive to Marrakech passing by Tizi n Tichka pass ﹙2,260m high﹚ to capture some pictures of the berber vilages. Then, we will arrive to Marrakech, where your driver will transport you to your accommodation.

The trip that made me fall in love with Morocco!!!!
I visited Morocco in november 2017, it was my first time there and I had an outstanding experience.
Hassan and Elena are super friendly, informed and very helpful when it comes to tips and suggestions on places to visit, where to eat, riad or hotels to stay.
You will fall in love with this country just talking with them. Their passion for Morocco is contagious!

Muy buena experiencia!!!
Fuimos un grupo de amigos a pasar unos dias a Fez y estuvimos tambien en el desierto de Merzouga. Se preocuparon en todo momento de nuestra comodidad y de que estuvieramos seguros, fueron muy atentos y amables. Los apartamentos alquilados estaban muy cerca de la Medina y tenian una muy buena relacion calidad precio, sobretodo el primero. El albergue del desierto también estaba muy bien equipado.
Nosotros decidimos no realizar visitas guiadas, aunque igualmente nos explicaron que valía la pena visitar y la mejor manera de desplazarnos.
Sinceramente, estamos muy satisfechos con este viaje, ya que hemos pasado unos dias increibles en Marruecos
