Day 1

Arrival at Marrakech

Upon arrival to Marrakech, your driver will pick you up from the international airport of Marrakech and transfer you to your accommodation. After putting your luggage, relax, and have lunch, you will have free time in the afternoon to explore the city by your own. Significantly, the best choice is to discover the Ancient Medina, winding through its narrow alleyways, and glimpsing the beautiful handmade crafts. Or you can finish your day by exploring Jamaa El Fna, the most exotic and bustling place in Marrakech, where you will be dazzled by the evening activities from snake charmers to fire dancers, jugglers and story tellers. Overnight will be in Marrakech, in your hotel or riad.

Day 2

Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Ounila Valley – Ouarzazate

Next morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in a well-being van, and head to Ouarzazate. Passing through the High Atlas Mountains, known as Tizi n Tichka pass ﹙2,260m high﹚. Surely, we will stop for an opportunity to glimpse the berber villages with their red adobe color, and take some tremendous pictures. Going off the main road, we will take a small path to Telouat Kasbah. With its salt mines which still active until today, you will explore the area, visit the Kasbah of Telouat, coupled with a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Then, we will pass through Ounila Valley, where you will glance verdant narrow rivers and scattered adobe Berber houses. Then, we will reach Ait Ben Haddou a fortified Kasbah ﹙castle﹚ which is the largest clay Kasbah in Morocco, and the UNESCO world heritage site. Moreover, the Kasbah is the place for many Hollywood movies that were filmed, like, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator and the Mummy… After exploring the Kasbah we will reach Ouarzazate, known for multiple blockbusters, cinema studios on the Egypt style, and the sand colored dwellings. After a free time to explore the city, you will spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 3

 Ouarzazate – Draa Valley  – Merzouga Desert – Camel ride and night in the Berber tent

This day, after breakfast we will leave Ouarzazate to Draa Valley. Important to mention, it is one of the longest rivers in Morocco, with lush oases stretched 95 km. While exploring it, you will be fascinated by its irrigated fields, beautiful date palms along the valley. The quietness of the place, and the beauty of the surroundings will just inspire you and indulge your senses. Then, we will take a break for lunch in Alnif or nkob. Finally, we will arrive to the superb Merzouga Desert, where your camel guide will take you to the Desert camp riding your camels. Reaching the camp, you will find traditional nomadic tents constructed of pure camel hair. Dinner and overnight, will be in the camp enjoying the sound of drums and the starry sky.

Day 4

Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Tisardmin Oasis – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi

This day is dedicated to explore the desert and the nomadic villages that surround it. First, we advice you to wake up a little bit early, so as, not to miss and meditate the sublime sunrise over the dunes, near the camp.You will appreciate the morning breeze, and the beautiful views of the seas sand that change in color. Then, we will trek back to Merzouga Village for a refreshing shower and a mouthwatering breakfast.Leaving Merzouga to discover the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. Height of 160m, Erg Chebbi dunes are very modest by their extraordinarily scenic views of rose gold dunes, and the stunning shades of pink and orange as the sun descends. After that, our next stop will be in Tissardmin oasis, which is known for its fossil quarries, that still work in the area. From there, we will continue to Khamlia, contemplating the nomadic berber villages, and suggesting a stop to learn about their customs and traditions. Upon arrival to Khamlia village, which people’s are originated from Mali and Sudan. In the first place, you will be welcomed by a cup of mint tea, while sitting back enjoying the their spiritual music known as Gnawa. Finally, we will drive back to your accommodation to relax and enjoy the afternoon near the desert.Overnight, will be in the accommodation.

Day 5

Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou  – Fes

This is the last day in Morocco Sahara Desert. In the morning we will start our trip to Fes through the gorgeous Middle Atlas Mountains. Passing, first, through Tafilalet palm grove, which is the largest one in Morocco. You will glimpse numerous palm trees along 20 km on road. Then, we will stop at Ziz Valley where you will relish the panoramic views of the landscape. Next, our stop will be in Midelt, for a free time to lunch and relax. Continuing through the middle atlas mountains enjoying the cool climate, we will stop at the Cedar Forest. In the first place, it is the biggest forest in Morocco, and the principal home for the Barbary apes. A good spot to view the Macaques, and the huge Cedar trees grow over 1600m. Moving forward to Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland, it will fascinate you by its european style and the cleanliness of the streets. Not only that, but also Ifrane has a sky resort, which is very popular among snowboarding skiers. Finally, we will arrive to Fes for an overnight in the hotel or riad.

Day 6

Full day exploring Fes

This full day is dedicated to explore the oldest city in Morocco. Fes was the capital of Morocco for 350 years, and it is the home for the oldest school in the World, Al Quarraouine university. In the morning after Breakfast, you will start discovering the ancient medina maze. Start meandering through the narrow alleyways between throngs, and discover the hidden treasures of the of old town. Roam your way to Moulay idriss Mausoleum, where just a glimpse from the outside is worthy trying. Furthermore, learn some of the people’s town rituals, such as, buying candles and putting them around the mausoleum to show respect. Continue your way to the oldest schools in the world, including Al Quarraouine university, and Bouannania shcool, where you will see woodwork walls, traditional courtyards…This guided tour will take you to many breathtaking spots, including tannery of Chaouara, this place specializes in tanning the leather. Plus, visit the Museum of Nejjarine and Batha Museum. In this day guide tour, you will back in time, discovering the medieval life. For example, in Fes, there is no sign of modern life, people still using the old methods in carrying their goods, upon donkeys. After that, we will take lunch in one of the local-elegant restaurants. In the afternoon, we will visit the Royal Palace and the Jewhish Quarter outside the Medina. Finishing our day tour by a panoramic view of the whole Medina from the top of the hill. Later, we will drive back to your accommodation to spend the night.

Day 7

Fes – Azrou – Beni Melal – Middle Atlas – Marrakech

In this day, we will travel to Marrakech passing through the Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be in Ifrane, for wonderful discovery of the french building style and the alpine mountains. You will have free time for lunch in this amazing village, before conituning to the Cedar forest. After that, we will visit the biggest forest in Morocco, near Azrou. The cedar forest is the UNESCO site, and the main residence for barbary macaques. Finally, we will arrive to Marrakech after passing the gorgesous landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. Overnight will be in Marrakech in the riad or hotel.

Day 8

Visit to the Medina and Marrakech Historical Monuments

That day, is devoted to explore Marrakech Medina and the historical monuments. In the morning, after breakfast, your escorted journey starts by exploring the Ancient Medina of Marrakech. Wander in the local markets as you indulge your senses with the beautiful scents, different traditional handmade crafts, from sweet pastries,handmade carpets,leather goods…and vivid air opened markets. After a refreshing juice and a break to relax, we will visit exploring the historical monuments. Starting, first, by Koutoubia Mosque, the largest one in Marrakech which is a spiritual landmark, along with the Moorish ornament. Then, head to Bahia palace, which means “brilliant”, everything will fascinate you from the decorated ceiling to the marble basin in the middle of the courtyard. Next, move to Saadian Tombs, discovering the lavish mausoleum of of the Sultan Ahmed al-Mansour ed-Dahbi constructed with pure gold. Finally, visit the luxurious Majorelle garden, designed on the french style, and consisting of a beautiful botanical garden. Finish your tour by an evening stroll in Jamaa El Fna square, where you can practice the haggling art, while enjoying the various activities of the place. Overnight will be in your riad or hotel.

Day 9

Marrakech – Airport

Your 9 days Marrakech tour ends today. After breakfast, your driver will help you with the luggage, then, transport you to the airport.
