Adorned in traditional attire, including vibrant cloaks and jewelry, participants create a visually stunning performance that reflects the region’s cultural heritage.

Houara Dance

Originating from the Agadir region, the Houara dance is a dynamic display of strength and vitality. Men and women engage in spirited movements, characterized by intricate steps and intense energy. With solo performances interspersed within the group dance, participants captivate audiences with their passionate expression and skillful coordination.

Taskiwin Dance

Taskiwin, a martial dance recognized by UNESCO, hails from the High Atlas Mountains. Dancers wield ornate horns known as Tiskt while moving to the rhythms of flutes and tambourines. This ancient tradition, endangered by modernization, serves as a testament to Morocco’s cultural heritage and the resilience of its traditional arts.

How to get to Toubkal National Park?  

Toubkal National Park is accessible from Ourika Valley, about one hour drive from Marrakech. Entrance points to Toubkal National Park are marked with signs. From these entry points, you enter the heart of the park and you can only move on foot or on mules. 

What can you do in Toubkal National Park?  

Toubkal National Park offers many activities for the guests. There are many hiking trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Is Mount Toubkal safe? 

 After  the tragic deaths of the two Scandinavian women in 2018, local authorities in Toubkal National Park have introduced a number of safety measures to ensure that climbers are not in danger when climbing Mount Toubkal.  

These safety measures include:  

  • Climbers must be accompanied by a qualified local guide.  
  • All guides must have a professional card  issued by the Ministry of Tourism. 
  •  Is not allowed ascent to Mount Tubkal after 3 p.m.  
  • Your overnight stay must be in an authorized place.  
  • Camping is prohibited.  

What is the best time to visit Toubkal National Park ??? 

 Toubkal National Park is open all year round. If you want to enjoy the nature and the forests, the best time is from May to October. The winter season starts from the beginning of February to the end of April and offers many activities such as skiing and skateboarding.
